Gill Furniss MP Labour Member of Parliament for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough
Since entering Parliament I have spoken about my passion for libraries and the fantastic assets they are for communities across the country. They provide valuable services for all ages and in many cases are the heart and soul of the communities they serve. Many people will be looking forward to the reopening of libraries in the future, however they will also be concerned about ensuring that it is done safely. I have written to the Prime Minister to raise my concerns about the lack of clarity on when libraries will reopen and what steps they should take after they were omitted from the Governments 50 page strategy document, released earlier this week.
