I am immensely proud to have represented my home of Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough as your MP since 2016.

I was born and raised in Sheffield, my dad was a steelworker in the area. I started work at the age of 16 as a library assistant here in the constituency. I was an elected Councillor for 16 years, most recently representing Southey Ward. As a Cabinet Member on Sheffield City Council for 3 years in the areas of planning, regeneration, libraries, parks and waste management I was able to broaden my local knowledge. As a lifelong union member and shop steward I am proud to champion the rights of workers.

In Parliament, I provide a strong voice for our local area and ensure that the challenges we face are on the political agenda.
