It's been a very busy few weeks since the election on May 5th. I am pleased to say I have already been active in the House asking a Question to David Cameron about the Orgreave Inquiry that we desperately want to know the truth about, and present at the defending Public Services Debate where I made my maiden speech in which I paid tribute to both Lord Blunkett and my predecessor (and husband) Harry Harpham. Both of whom were politicians who provided a strong voice for their constituents. I have also been active in the constituency visiting Mansell Primary School meeting the volunteers at their Give and Gain Day last week, and visited local manufacturing company Gripple with Tom Watson MP to look at the benefits of remaining in Europe. I am also pleased to announce my appointment as PPS for Lisa Nandy in the shadow Environment and Climate Change Team, a role which I am looking forward to getting my teeth into.
